ZoRA competence network

- Project of the Liberal Association of German dentists

(Freier Verband Deutscher Zahnärzte e.V.)

Networks are part of our daily life. They are no invention of today’s but also in the Middle Ages networks were a component leading to success, as the sample of the Hanseatic League shows. Our globalised world is informed and arranged by complex network, reaching from personal networks to regional clusters and transnational networks.

ZoRA is a competence network of female dentists that likes to pool varying scientific knowledge an experience of single colleagues with the aim of achieving higher personal an professional competence of the participating groups of persons.

To give female components in the dental profession their own forms of exertion of influence and significance a network of female dentists will be a qualified platform. In the sense of “help for self-help” female dentists mutually can find responses to numerous of questions such as the planning of establishment, cooperation forms, financing opportunities, further training, re-entry, retirement planning and further more.

Solely professional dental competence is no longer sufficient today to manage the own practice successfully. Not only job starter have to pass a hard orientation process. Colleagues who do decide for their own practice or other cooperation forms after they have passed their time as dental assistant, are faced with numerous of unknown processes and responsibilities. The ZoRA competence network wants to point out practicable and realistic solutions of female-specific challenges to the dental profession.

Motivated by the sample of experienced female colleagues, ZoRA likes to bolster to engage oneself actively in professional dental policy. Women must be confident and independent of government decreed advancement of women to be able to phrase their goals and think, plan and act self-employed.

Women do accept this challenge – that is ZoRA!

ZoRA is an open and free network. The participation is temporally and locally independent and there are no entrance restrictions.

ZoRA likes to get persons together with similar interests and problems, to interconnect informally.

“When various elements form a unit, enormous concentration will happen”.

(Wolfgang Sternkopf)
